Children's Programs

Baby and Toddler Storytimes

Storytime for babies and toddlers up to age 5 are weekly during the school year.  Each storytime has a theme based on holidays, national celebrations, Early Literacy, and more! Each Storytime and lasts around 20 to 30 minutes, craft time included. Times for each branch are listed below, and calendars are available at every branch.

Mondays at the Chesterfield Library, 11:00 am

Tuesdays at the Pageland Library 11:00 am

Wednesdays at the Cheraw Library 11:00 am

Children's Programs in September and October

Come join us in September for Storytimes, and Lego Club! Check back for more announcements on contests for children ages 4-12 and after school programs. After school programs (such as Lego Club) are designed for children ages 5-12, and last around 45 minutes. Children must have an adult with them in the library during the program.

Children and Technology

This year, Chesterfield County Library has received a grant allowing us to add "kid friendly" computers and tablets which come loaded with basic games, books, activities that promote early literacy.  Listen to the following video and discover how computers, if used correctly, can help toddlers and preschools succeed, academically.
